Learning global and local sustainability through cooperation
The Summer School s designed to enhance your understanding of sustainability and equip you with the skills needed for impactful decisions in both your professional and personal lives. The participants are encouraged to actively take part in (political) discussions in order to become self-efficacious, solve problems, and set the experience into the context of the course. Key Topics:
- An in-depth analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals and the latest findings of the IPCC Report (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), enhancing your grasp of pressing global and local sustainability challenges.
- Sustain2030, a dynamic simulation game where you navigate the complexities of political and financial constraints as a stakeholder in a citizens‘ council.
- A group poster presentation that consolidates your learning outcomes, serving as your non-graded assessment.

Credits and Registration
The Summer School is open to Bachelor and Master students from all disciplines. Students can achive either 3 or 5 ECTS according to their study program. Please contact your student advisory service bevor registration. In combination with the Lecture Series „Climate Change, Sustainability, and Future Designs“, the Summer School is recognized as basic module for the Certificate for Sustainabilty (read more).
